HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Each case is unique and requires careful consideration of the resources and time that are required. When we discuss your case with you we will be happy to provide you with a quote for services. We can operate on an hourly basis or can provide an all-in price so that there are no surprises.
Typically a lone surveillance operator is charged at £40/hour with a team of two at £75/hour. We will discuss your needs with you and recommend the most cost-effective option. Process Serving can be achieved for £90 for up to 3 visits and is backed by a statement of evidence.
HOW LONG WILL A PRIVATE INVESTIGATION FOR A CHEATING SPOUSE TAKE?
This can depend on how much and the quality of information that is known at the outset. Some cases can be resolved in as a little as a day whereas more complex cases can be more protracted. Simply put, if you know more about the situation to start with, the more targeted we can be with our resources. Locard will work with you to determine if there is a requirement to investigate further in line with your budget and information requirements. For some cases, simply knowing that there is infidelity is enough, for others, the client may want to know more about the 'other' person.
We will always provide you with ongoing case updates wherever the investigation takes us.
WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT OPTIONS?
Please see our terms and conditions. Locard Investigations can accept Paypal, however, payment by BACS is preferred. We request that payment for all work undertaken for our private clients is made before investigations commence, this can be made on a retainer or full-fee basis.
IS A PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR LEGAL?
Yes. Everything we do is legal. Hiring a private investigator to work on your behalf is completely legitimate.
Surveillance, vehicle tracking and people tracing are all legal as long as certain parameters are not breached.
As members of the Association of British Investigators, Locard conducts all of its investigative activity in an entirely legal, ethical and moral way. This way, the evidence that we supply to you cannot be challenged in court.
WHAT INFORMATION WILL I NEED TO TELL YOU?
This is entirely up to you and any information that you do disclose is treated in the strictest of confidence. We do however ask that you are as open with us as possible - this will save time and money when resolving your case. We will want ascertain as much relevant information as possible in order understand exactly your needs and where best to focus our efforts on your behalf.
Our clients have often conducted some of their own investigation before they come to us and this preliminary work can really assist in kick-starting the investigation.
WHAT IS THE PROCESS?
After our initial consultation, we will provide you an outline investigation plan and quote. Once instructed, we commence investigation and provide you with feedback and updates throughout the process. This will give you the assurance that our investigators are on the job. Upon completion, you will receive a comprehensive written report that details our actions and results including any photographic/video media. It may also be the case that the investigator is called as a witness in subsequent court proceedings. Locard are confident that our investigation will stand up to scrutiny if the case goes to court.
